The Audacity Single Malt Whisky is the jewel in the crown of the 'Leap of Faith' series.
Callington Mill acquired this Old Kempton Distilled spirit, initially aged in 20L Australian Tawny and Apera casks. The whisky matured further in 300L white fortified casks from the Rutherglen region in Victoria.
Audacity is a deep amber Tasmanian Whisky that provides intense and powerful notes of vanilla custard, cocoa and tobacco.
Awarded Bronze at the 2022 International Wine & Spirit Competition. The judges noted the Single Malt Whisky to have a “coffee nose developing into caramel and toffee. Rich fudge on the finish.”

When I had this at the distillery I had to take a bottle home . I assumed it was the distillery buzz that made me excited and held off opening the bottle for months in fear the truth of the bottle would not live up to the joy of the memory. Ye of little faith. Beyond my memory . Beyond my hopes. I don't dare reach for words as description will defile.. Buy it. Drink it. Be delighted.
I am always curious when first tasting a cask strength single malt and I was very pleasantly surprised with how smooth it was.
I enjoyed the tastes rolling over my tongue with clear tabacco and toffee notes and look forward to sharing it with my brother.
One to keep for special occassions, I will be buying another bottle.
