Madeira Cask Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky
Description
Tasmania meets the Atlantic island that changed winemaking forever.
Callington Mill's first-ever Madeira cask matured single malt whisky draws on the rich, complex tradition of Madeira — the fortified wine of Portugal's volcanic island, known for its remarkable depth and longevity. Matured in ex-Madeira casks, Tasmania's cool climate draws out every nuance the wood has to offer, producing a limited-edition release unlike anything in the range.
Deep mahogany in the glass. On the nose, roasted chestnuts, cloves and cinnamon with subtle hints of grape syrup and dried figs. The palate is velvety and full-bodied — burnt caramel, walnuts, toasted oak and dried fruits, balanced by honey and molasses. The finish is long and luxurious, lingering with dark chocolate, dried fruit and warm spice.
Awarded Gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Silver at the 2025 World Whisky Masters and Silver at the 2025 IWSC with 91 Points. A limited release that marks a bold new chapter in Tasmanian single malt whisky.
Natural colour. Non-chill filtered. Full term ageing. First fill, wet freshly decanted casks.
