Description
Inspired by the Aurora Australis — and just as rare, just as luminous.
Aurora begins its journey in Cream Sherry casks before evolving for at least a year in Barrique Brandy casks, achieving a total maturation of approximately 4.5 years. Tasmania's cool climate and pristine highland air shape every drop, drawing out the natural beauty of each cask into something wholly its own.
On the nose, ripe prunes and delicate spicy oak, with hints of walnuts, raisins and the warm scent of a sunlit orchard. The palate bursts with apricot, plum and liquorice, underpinned by creamy almonds, vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is warm and spiced — toasted walnuts, charred oak and dark fruit cake giving way to caramel and bittersweet dark chocolate.
Awarded Gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Silver at the 2025 World Whisky Masters and Silver at the 2025 IWSC with 91 Points. A Tasmanian single malt as brilliant as the southern skies it's named after.

TASTING NOTES
Colour: Light amber with honey caramel, toffee, and subtle wood tones
Nose: An enchanting bouquet of ripe prunes and delicate spicy oak, intertwined with nutty hints of walnuts and raisins. Subtle whispers of fresh tobacco and the inviting aroma of an orchard on a shady afternoon tease the senses.
Palate: A vibrant symphony of flavours bursts forth, with luscious apricot, juicy plum, and hints of liquorice. The creamy robustness of almonds and vanilla dances with a dash of nutmeg, while a silky, oily texture coats the palate in waves of sweetness, accented by playful notes of lolly bananas.
Finish: The experience crescendos with a warm, spiced finish. Toasted walnuts, charred oak, and the richness of dark fruit cake evolve into indulgent caramel and bittersweet dark chocolate, leaving a lingering impression that beckons another sip.
