The triple distilled single malt is called Emulsion, it was crafted by Damian Mackey, our founder, John Ibrahim's partner in Shene Distillery.
This Single Malt Whisky matured in special handcrafted 100L Apera Casks and further evolved in an exclusive 700L Tawny Cask from the heart of the Douro Valley in Portugal and premium 300L French Oak Cognac Casks. This strawberry gold Tasmanian Whisky is light and elegant with notes of pineapple, vanilla and turkish delight.

TASMANIAN COOL CLIMATE SINGLE MALT WHISKY

The triple distilled single malt is called Emulsion, it was crafted by Damian Mackey, our founder, John Ibrahim's partner in Shene Distillery.
This Single Malt Whisky matured in special handcrafted 100L Apear Casks and further evolved in an exclusive 700L Tawny Cask from the heart of the Douro Valley in Portugal and premium 300L French Oak Cognac Casks. This strawberry gold Tasmanian Whisky is light and elegant with notes of pineapple, vanilla and turkish delight.
Awarded Silver at 2022 International Wine & Spirit Competition, with a score of 90. The judges noted the Single Malt Whisky to offer "dried fruits, apple tart, cinnamon, toffee ice cream, custard and wood on the nose. The palate brings cinnamon, coming through on the finish to make a rounded spirit."
The IWSC describe the spirits awarded Silver to be "accomplished with good balance, strong character and good complexity. A classic example of its style or variety".
One of my favourite unpeated whiskies right now. Dark fruits, custard, toffee and those wonderful Christmas spices that only this balance of casks could bring. And finishes quite long, with lovely vanilla notes. Opens up with some time in the glass and a touch of water. Gorgeous.

Smooth and lovely
I'm really enjoying Emulsion. I like the more smooth variety of whisky and as such often lean to the triple distilled. Emulsion delivers on that beautifully. I get a caramel note and a really smooth finish. Great way to end the day :-)
