Oloroso Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky
Description
Oloroso means 'fragrant' in Spanish. One sip of this award-winning Tasmanian single malt whisky and you'll understand why the name fits.
Matured in Ex-Oloroso Sherry casks from southern Spain, this single malt carries the deep, nutty richness of one of the world's most celebrated fortified wine styles — reshaped by Tasmania's cool highland climate into something distinctly, beautifully its own.
Rich walnut and hazelnut lead on the nose, with layers of dried fruit, dark toffee and subtle oak spice on the palate. The finish is long, warming and deeply satisfying — a Tasmanian single malt made for slow evenings and good company.
A multiple international award winner and a standout in the Callington Mill Classic Range.
Natural colour. Non-chill filtered. Full term ageing. First fill, wet freshly decanted casks.
EXPERIENCE OLOROSO

Oloroso translates as a symphony of aromas in Spanish. Its namesake, Oloroso sherry is crafted from the exquisite Palomino Grape, aged through the artful Solera system, in the heart of Jerez - Spain, for a span of 5 - 25 years. This distinguished drink is also unique for being the only dry sherry that has never been aged under a layer of flor yeast. True to this tradition, our single malt is cradled solely in the coveted Oloroso casks. What unfolds is a full-bodied whisky with a velvet-like mouth feel. Oloroso conveys a bounty of complex aromatic flavours, including dried figs, plums, and raisins, all tinged with spices, savour the nutty whispers that waltz across your palate - a luxurious and noble single malt journey.
