The Quintessence Single Malt Whisky was exclusively crafted by Old Kempton Distillery and matured in small 20L Australian Tawny Casks until ready to savour. The complexity of the whisky was further evolved in 300L and 500L exclusive and rare Tawny Port casks from the heart of the Douro Valley, Portugal. The result of Quintessence is a complex, rose gold Tasmanian Whisky with notes of coconut, nutmeg and poached pears. Awarded Bronze at the 2022 International Wine & Spirit Competition. The judges noted the Single Malt Whisky to have a “punchy palate of banana and strawberry sundae drizzled with caramel. Sweet and pleasant.”

The Quintessence Single Malt Whisky was exclusively crafted by Old Kempton Distillery and matured in small 20L Australian Tawny Casks until ready to savour. The complexity of the whisky was further evolved in 300L and 500L exclusive and rare Tawny Port casks from the heart of the Douro Valley, Portugal. The result of Quintessence is a complex, rose gold Tasmanian Whisky with notes of coconut, nutmeg and poached pears. Awarded Double Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The judges noted the Single Malt Whisky to have a “punchy palate of banana and strawberry sundae drizzled with caramel. Sweet and pleasant.”
After enjoying a superb lunch in the Callington Mill Distillery I finished off with the Quintessence Single Malt which perfectly complimented the oven roasted pork belly, carrot & truffle puree and char grilled apple. I know what I like and the Quintessence took me to a very happy place. Thank you.

I think this would have to be the best value i have ever had. It’s my favourite and that includes some beautiful smoky scotch whiskey i have tasted from the Iles.Good job Carlington and loved your distillery

Superb ..Tropical, coconut notes with a rich tawny port influence, balanced, beautiful
This is a star, Won our monthly whiskey club blind tasting by a good margin.It's sweet, tropical coconut notes, but balanced, not a long finish but it makes you pause ..exceptional. God knows what the Audacity is like and there must be age statements in the warehouse.I'm more excited about this distillery than almost anything I've tasted recently and I have over 300 bottles. Just buy it.

Very enjoyable
Quintessence is a smooth single malt whisky. Old Kempton Distillery and Callington Mill have done a marvelous job making it sweet - but not sugary, with tastes of tropical fruits and traces of the tawn port casks.I am looking forward to trying some more of Calington Mills limited release whiskys, and will get another bottle of Quintessence to put awayCheers Edgar
