Step inside the world of Callington Mill Distillery with a three-day private immersion in historic Oatlands — an exclusive offering for a single group of up to eight guests. From your own residence in the heart of town to a full day inside the distillery with our founders' story at its centre, this is whisky hospitality at its most personal.
Your group stays in the private Founder's Residence on Oatlands' High Street, with the distillery, bond stores and town all within easy reach. Whether you come as friends, family or fellow collectors, the experience is yours alone.
Day One — Arrival & Welcome Arrive from midday and settle into the Founder's Residence. You'll be welcomed with a curated Tasmanian cheese platter, a selection of Callington Mill whiskies, Poltergeist Gin, and Tasmanian wine and sparkling — plus a personalised welcome note. The afternoon and evening are yours to relax in the residence or explore Oatlands' streets and local dining.
Day Two — The Founder's Whisky Journey The centrepiece of your stay. The day opens with a hosted breakfast at the distillery before a private immersion into how Callington Mill whisky is made — a guided exploration of the heritage site, the Solera and blending rooms, and an aroma kit to awaken the senses. Taste through the range, including the Seventh Anniversary Whisky and our Amphora release, with a guided tour of the distillery and Founders Room along the way.
Lunch is a long, leisurely affair: our Signature Experience menu paired with an open bar. In the afternoon, each couple creates and personalises their own bottle to take home — a lasting memento of the journey. The evening is free to enjoy at your own pace.
Day Three — Farewell A relaxed farewell breakfast at the distillery before checkout, sending you off with stories, bottles and memories to keep.
